Professional photographers and designers can now take ultimate control of their image output and attain accurate colour throughout the digital workflow. The i1Display 2 offers essential colour control tools, such as ambient check and match, workgroup match, and push-button calibration and validation. Once the image is ready to be printed, the Stylus Photo R2880 matches the colours with impressive accuracy.
The i1Display 2 provides the most advanced monitor profile quality to date, making calibration easy and precise. It delivers consistent, predictable colour on all types of monitors, plus one-button-push monitor profiling for monitors supporting DDC-CI standards. The advanced mode for experienced users has new features such as a selection of monitor white points, custom luminance settings and a detailed profile summary.
An enhanced sensor at the heart of the i1Display 2 provides higher repeatability, faster measurements and improved sensitivity in dark areas, resulting in better control in shadow detail and a more neutral gray scale. Ambient match functionality ensures that profiles are adapted for a range of ambient light environments.
The Stylus Photo R2880 is Epson’s top-of-the-range A3 printer, delivering the highest quality available in professional inkjet printing. The refined look-up table (LUT[1]) algorithms included with the R2880 enable the printer to more accurately match colours and ensure that every image is printed to exhibition display standards. A unique mode within the print driver enables users to have creative control over black and white tones as well as gradation, which has a similar effect to selecting specific papers and chemicals in a conventional dark room.
Once the user is ready to print, the Stylus Photo R2880’s high-speed Micro Piezo™ print head delivers unsurpassed precision in dot placement. The advanced UltraChrome™ K3 ink with Vivid Magenta enables superb grey balance, smooth tonal gradations and great colour accuracy of neutral and dark colours. Very long lasting, exhibition-quality prints can be created on a wide variety of media, including fine art paper, roll paper and thick, rigid media.
