Canon 24mm f/2.8 Review on imaging-resource

The Canon 24mm f/2.8 is a small wide-angle lens, first introduced by Canon in 1988. It uses a design of 10 lens elements in separate groups, however, the use of rear lens cell focusing improves AF performance by not requiring the movement of many elements.

Canon's come a long way since 1988, as the sharpness profile for the 24mm f/2.8 will attest. Wide-open performance exhibits quite a bit of corner softness, on both sub- and full-frame camera bodies.
