New flash shoe extension cord from Nissin - Kenro have announced the UK release of a new universal flash shoe cord from Nissin, the SC-01.

The SC-01 has been specifically developed for off-camera flash photography via a 1.5m coiled cable that allows use both on a bracket and hand held. It has multiple contact pins for TTL Compatible Flash use with Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Pentax and Samsung digital cameras. The SC-01 has the added bonus of not requiring a conversion switch for the respective camera manufacturer.
The main benefit is that TTL flash photography is possible up to 150cm distance from the camera. The TTL shoe which fits to the main camera body features a secondary hot shoe enabling the user to attach 2 flash units, one on the top of the camera and another to the side. There is a selector switch on the shoe to choose between camera top or extension flash usage.
The SC-01 is compatible with Nissin's own flash guns - Di622, Di466 and Di28 Speedlites, as well as Canon E-TTL, E-TTL 11 Flash Systems, Nikon i-TTL Flash Systems, Pentax P-TTL Flash Systems, Fujifilm Finepix SLR Cameras and Samsung SLR Cameras.
